EyeCap & the Osher Toric Alignment System
The Osher Toric Alignment System (OTAS) has been developed as a module for the EyeCap Imaging System and Haag-Streit slit lamps. The OTAS application is intended to assist the surgeon in the accurate placement of Toric Intraocular lenses in surgery; and alignment during AK and LRI procedures. It provides precise iris landmark identification and related references.
The module is available from your local Haag-Streit distributor and must be used with EyeCap V7. Earlier versions of EyeCap can be upgraded to V7 with a software support contract which is also available from a local Haag-Streit representative.
The Imaging Procedure
The Osher Toric Alignment System can be used with any Haag-Streit slit
lamp model that includes, or can be updated for, slit lamp imaging with
EyeCap software. However, the IM900 model capture camera for BQ slit
lamp will also automatically detect R or L eye and scale the image
accordingly.
Once the image is captured, it can be printed for use in the operating
room as a visual guide. It also can be exported to digital media;
forwarded to the operating room; where it can be imported into a
computer and monitor for digital display
