Pick Up a Hammer at the AAO this Year

Due to the success of last year’s inaugural EyeBuild Project, the American Academy of Ophthalmology will again partner with Habitat for Humanity in the show’s host city of Atlanta.

Atlanta Habitat builds energy-efficient, EarthCraft-certified homes that protect the environment and reduce utility bills.

Work with the Academy and your colleagues to help families in Atlanta. Come to the Joint Meeting one or two days early and help empower a family in need.

This event is open to all meeting attendees and exhibitors. No special skills are necessary to participate, no specific fitness level is required and volunteers with physical limitations are welcome. All participants will be trained onsite.

To register: Sign up online when show registration opens. Space is limited, so register early to guarantee a spot. Onsite registration will not be available.

Dates: Thursday, Nov. 6, and Friday, Nov. 7. Sign up for one or both days.

Fee: $25 per day (includes insurance and supplies).

Last year more than 400 individuals participated and EyeBuild made a contribution of $16,020 to Habitat New Orleans' Hurricane Katrina Recovery Effort.
